In the Warning Center Pacific Tsunami warning issued by the tsunami - are on high alert - for Hawaii, where incoming waves can cause damage along the coast through a series of islands. The warning also in effect on Guam, American Samoa, and dozens of other Pacific islands.

The first waves were expected to arrive in Hawaii at 11:19 this morning (4:19 GMT).
