Thatta: Large scale evacuation underway

Fearing a major hit of flood, a vast majority of Thatta flood victims have started to reach Karachi for refuge.
Thatta was under a constant threat of flood hit. People were struggling hard for their survival and safety of their town but they failed to do so.
The main cause for the concern was a third breach in a PB canal embankment near Fakir Goth which spread panic in Thatta, with the district’s coordination officer ordering the evacuation of the city. Authorities ordered the evacuation of 300,000 people from Thatta after waters breached its defenses.
According to sources, many flood victims have traveled by feet to reach Karachi and the administration has not made any arrangements to accommodate these Karachi bound flood victims and they are compelled to stay under open skies in a deprived and miserable condition.
