Woods : MIAMI (Reuters) – No. (1) golfer Tiger Woods, who pulled out of the game late last year after a devastating scandal, adultery, and announced on Tuesday that he would make his return to professional golf Masters in the United States in early April April.
“The Masters, where I got my first major and I think that this tournament with great respect, and after a long time and the necessary away from the game, I feel I’m ready to start the season for me at Augusta,” Woods said in a statement published on its website.
And a Masters in Augusta, Georgia will be held on April 5-11, Woods has won this event four times.
“The Grand Slam is always a special focus in my career, and a great deal of efficiency, I think Augusta where I need to be, although it’s been awhile since I last played,” said Woods, who is one of the world’s most recognized athletes who highly paid.
Woods, 34, announced in December that he would withdraw from professional golf to save his marriage appeared after the disclosure of infidelity repeated. He apologized to his family and fans but did not mention until Tuesday when he might return to the game.
Scandal erupted after his car crashed outside his home in the state of Florida in the middle of the night in the month of November, a bizarre incident, which provoked a storm of media speculation about his private life.
Last month, Woods has carefully managed his first public appearance since the fall of the amazing grace that shook his multi-million dollar sponsors of the draft resolution.
He said he was sorry for cheating on his wife and said he was under medical treatment, but did not give details of the treatment.
He said then that he plans to return to golf “one day”, and maybe this year, but did not specify a date.
He said, “It has been nearly two months of treatment in hospitals, and I am continuing treatment. Although I return to competition, and I still have a lot of work to do in my personal life.” Woods said in astatement on Tuesday.
