Mosi Tatupu
The newspaper said Hawaii is reporting today that the former Patriots [team stats] nose defender steel and special teams star Mosi Tatupu, has died.
In Honolulu Star-Bulletin reports Tatupu, is one of the greatest athletes in the history of Hawaii, was 54 when he died on Tuesday.
Tatupu suffered from high blood pressure, according to the newspaper said. A friend told the Star-Bulletin Tatupu last night that "he has some health issues." The friend, adds the paper Tatupu had been informed of the death of former Pro aimed his ex-wife.
Mosi Tatupu was a fan favorite with the Patriots playing for New England from 1978 to 1990. It was named for the Patriots 50th Anniversary team this last fall as a special strong team structure.
The famous Herculean playing style was his own cheering section in Foxboro so-called "Mosi's Mooses".
He was also the first American Samoan to play in a bowl Pro (1986).
Of the University of Southern California Supreme drafted in the eighth round of the Patriots in 1978. He played a total of 14 years in the NFL - has also played for the Los Angeles Rams at the end of his life - and was on the Patriots 1986 Super Bowl Task Force Twenty.
He was also head coach at the University of King Philip High in Wrentham when his son was in high school. He also trained at the Curry College Milton, and assistance in the operation of their backs.
According to statistics from the NFL, said he was carrying 612 and 2,415 yards in his 14 years.
