PREET BHARARA, and the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Venizelos George, special agent in charge of the New York office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“the FBI”), today announced the arrest of 14 members and associate members of the familyGambino organized crime in the city of La Cosa Nostra (in “Gambino Family”) on charges including extortion, murder, sex trafficking, sex trafficking of a minor, tampering with the jury, extortion, assault, drug trafficking, fraud, loansharking, and gambling is legal.
