Honolulu Star-Bulletin ; Santiago, Chile, February 27 (AFP) – Parts of the United States and Easter Island, which faced the tsunami warnings Saturday after the earthquake with a magnitude 8.8 – occurred in Chile, the experts said.
British experts told the Daily Telegraph said that the earthquake created tsunami fury of the unknown that had already destroyed Juan Fernandez Islands and moving toward the Pacific such as Hawaii and Easter Island.
Stemming from the earthquake was centered about 200 miles from Santiago, Chile, followed by a series of aftershocks that ranged in magnitude from 5.6 to 6.9 degrees.
“This is the largest earthquake that struck central Chile since the earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 in 2001 and said,” Dr. Brian Baptie of the British Geological Survey and the President of earthquakes Telegraph.

A similar warning had been issued by the National Weather Service Center in Palmer, Alaska. Tsunami Warning in the center of the United States was for coastal areas in California, as well as coastal areas in Alaska, Oregon and Washington.
