County Health Rankings : Fort Wayne – Allen County near the top level in the third State in the standings and health, according to a new report released today by the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

County Health Rankings – the first group of reports to the rank of public health in each province in all 50 states – Allen County ranked 33 of 92 Hoosier Province].

“One of the first steps we must take as a society is to work together to talk about this report, that means for us,” said County Health Commissioner Dr. Deborah McMahan Allen in a press release. “This is just a snapshot wide range of community health.

Allen County was ranked 33 in health outcomes, and 39 health factors, according to the report.The County was ranked 10th in the field of clinical care, which is a reflection of the high number of health-care providers in the community and the quality of care they provide.

Reports in 50 countries to assist community leaders and public health, policy makers, consumers and others to see how healthy their country is, compared with others within their own state and find ways to improve the health status of society, the press release said.

Lagrange and DeKalb counties ranked in the Top 10 public health, with the Lagrangian at No. 5 and No. 9 in DeKalb. Steuben County was rated 32nd on public health, while the occupied province Nobel 37th.

Every county in place within the State to the people How is the health situation and the period in which they live. It also ranks the key factors that affect health, such as: smoking, obesity, binge drinking, and access to primary health care providers, and rates of graduation from secondary schools and violent crime rates, levels of air pollution, and the liquor store and the population density and unemployment rates and the number of children who living in poverty.

Other studies have ranked the factors on health, but this is the first time that researchers examined the multiple factors that affect health in every county in all 50 states.
