Amare Stoudemire : The Cleveland Cavaliers and Phoenix Suns are inching closer and closer to getting a deal done that will send five-time All-Star Amare Stoudemire to Ohio. League sources tell ESPN.com that the Cavaliers would send Zydrunas Ilgauskas and J. J. Hickson to Phoenix to acquire Stoudemire’s rights. There was no mention of a first-round pick being involved in the deal.

ESPN.com also states the ball is in Phoenix’s court. They are mulling over if Ilgauskas’s $12 million expiring contract and J. J. Hickson are enough to part ways with Amare.
Cleveland is prepared to sign Stoudemire to a long-term contract extension this summer and they believe this could be what it takes to keep Lebron in Cleveland. James will become a free agent when the season ends this year.
