Police seek help in finding two missing teenage girls

Ridge Meadows RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating two 16-year-old girls who have been reported missing.

Deborah Gardner and Amber Jorgensen were last seen at a Maple Ridge mall at approximately 8 p.m. last Wednesday.

Both teens had talked about running away in front of their parents in the past. However, all attempts at contacting them have failed.

“These girls have not done anything wrong, but we need to know that they’re safe,” said RCMP Insp. Derren Lench. “They also need to know that their parents are very worried, and they would like them to contact them right away.”

Police describe Deborah as a Caucasian female, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 110 pounds (thin build), with shoulder length black hair and hazel eyes.

Amber is described as a Caucasian female, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 105 pounds, dark blond shoulder length hair, and blue eyes.
