MIAMI — Tropical Storm Ana has formed over the Atlantic and could strengthen as it heads toward the Leeward Islands, forecasters said Saturday. After six weeks in the "Big Brother" house, Chima has walked away from the competition. While some of the details surrounding what happened are still unknown, the driving force behind the contestant's anger had to do with the show's decision to implement the "coup d'etat," a power given to Jeff by America to randomly overthrow Chima as Head of Household last week and put up his own nominees for eviction. Jeff's actions led to Chima's close ally Jessie being eliminated.
Chima was visibly upset about the fairness of the coup on Thursday night's show, and even made some disparaging comments about production during the broadcast.
(The following contains spoilers that will air Sunday night.)
On Friday Chima (along with Natalie) was put up for eviction by Head of Household Michele, and shortly before the Veto Competition Chima threw her portable mic pack in the hot tub. After Natalie attempted to fish it out for her, production came on over the loudspeaker and told her to mic herself up again for the cameras. She refused, and after a few minutes of fighting the live feed cameras went off. When they returned, Chima was gone from the house. Judging from some of the houseguests' comments she ultimately decided to walk away from the competition, but will have to pay for the damage she did to the mic pack.
Of course, Chima's decision to leave will supposedly cause her to not be on the jury, meaning that someone else will replace her. (Ronnie?) It also likely means that only one contestant will be eliminated on Thursday instead of the two previously announced.
Are you surprised by Chima's decision? Put your thoughts and comments below
