Rock and Roll Hall of Fame : It’s hard to imagine a father, a stooge and configuration being on the stage itself – let alone in the same room.This night will be all three joined Jimmy Cliff and barbed Unbat parties when they are recruited into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame).
The ceremony will be held 8:30 p.m. today at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City famous, and will be live on Fuse.
In past years, was registered in a ceremony broadcast and after a few weeks on VH1.I could go on and on about all the real talent constantly left out (mountains, Ozzy Osburne, Kiss, Rush, Lou Reed, Motorhead), while disco singers put on an equal footing with the likes of Iggy Pop.But I was not senile and parts.However, I say this: What exactly does a father have to do with Rock Band? Seriously. I do not care how many records they sold. Is not the father of rock and roll. Were fluff pop group who got lucky and had a couple of visits at the same time when you are either a fan or Donna Summer Ramones fan.

You could argue that Madonna or Run DMC, Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five do not belong in the Hall of Fame either. But there is a difference between these artists and the father of three.

Madonna’s music in the methods and affected rocks as far as not pop. Operating range includes elements of rock music in their songs and paved the way for the Beastie Boys, Rage Against the Machine and others.

Father was cheeseball disco act. No more, no less.

I’m glad to see Jimmy Cliff to get approval. Ska reggae music is often ignored in the mainstream. It is nice to see the grandfather of this kind get a result.

I was never a huge fan of Genesis, although I prefer to post the sound Peter Gabriel ( “the land of confusion” rocks!) For more than a year pilot early. I realize that the group made an impact on the progressive rock and deserve their place in this room.

Attended the induction ceremony in 2007 and 2008. Unfortunately I missed last year’s ceremony in Cleveland, and I will not be there tonight.

But that’s okay.

I have already Iggy Pop laughter.
