Maple Leafs and Martin Skoula did not keep long, and deal with the New Jersey Devils for the fifth-round draft pick this summer, less than 12 hours after I got him and Luca Caputi of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Alexei Ponikarovsky trade. The Leafs take Skoula of the penguins for salary cap reasons in Pittsburgh, so the Director-General of the Brian Burke received a primarily Caputi Ponikarovsky and the fifth for the round.
