Marie Osmond son’s death is apparently suicide but investigations are still underway. Officials are said to be treating Blosil’s death as suicide.

Osmond cancelled her upcoming appearances in her Las Vegas revue with her brother Donny after hearing of her adopted son’s death, and released a statement asking for privacy in the light of the tragic events.

Michael Blosil was 18 years old and he was one of the five adopted by Osmond and former husband Brian Blosil before the couple divorced in 2007. Michael Blosil was struggling with depression for years. This now highlights teen suicide in the United States.

Suicide is the third-leading cause of death among older teenagers in America, according to the National Institutes of Mental Health, and boys are four times more at risk than girls.
