Kate Snow:After the return of Smashing and Jay Leno and appeared headed for a battle with David Letterman television in the late-night supremacy.
The Nielsen Company says that Leno on average 5.6 million viewers last week, back in the first on NBC’s “Tonight Show” in the wake of the President, unfortunately, the bitter experience. Letterman was 3.7 million in the Commercial Bank of Syria. Leno took advantage of curiosity about his return and a strong lineup of guests, including the Stars of the Olympic Games and Sarah Palin. Half a million more than it averaged last season in the “Tonight”.
It was much closer than the second week. Through four nights, Leno averaged 4.3 million viewers, and I have to Letterman 4 million.
Usually seen Leno, Letterman won a million and a half during the last season of competition, and is an indication of erosion of the NBC late-night election. To consistently beat Letterman Conan O’Brien after O’Brien took over last year.

After that the voice of the public, in singing competition and said goodbye Thursday to Alex Lambert from North Richland Hills, Texas; Todrick Hall Arlington, Texas; Lilly Scott Littleton, Colorado, and Katelyn Epperly of West Des Moines, Iowa.
It was not surprising that the judge preferred the previous weeks, Michael “Big Mike” Lynche, make the cut.
Lynche dazzled the judges with the performance of “These women and work” and made the judge Kara DioGuardi to dissolve into tears.
Lambert, who faced difficulty in overcoming his shyness on stage, seemed depressed when he learned his fate.

Judge Ellen DeGeneres gave him a verbal Pat on the back.
“You’re fine. Never stop believing in yourself,” she said to him.
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the evening was a public rejection of Scott. Before the decision, and stood with host Ryan Seacrest, Scott Stevens and Katie on stage, and asked judges to weigh in on the fact that one of them will be heading home.
