Roger had never heard of Zimbabwe before I told him about this subject.”

Oscar night, and her frustration has exploded. “You know, I felt my role in this [film] may offend again and again, and it will not happen this time.”

Williams, who also spoke in the living room, he argued that Barakat disowned the film because of creative differences, but that was still eligible for the award. Says Academy decided it would be anyone to speak if they win.

“It’s just ambushed me,” he said in a moment that appeared on the stage. “I was in a kind of shock.”
