The Cove is the Oscar-winning 2009 documentary film about the U.S. killing of dolphins in the annual national park in Tai Chi, Wakayama, Japan.
Film highlights that the number of dolphins killed several times larger than the number of whales killed in the Antarctic, and claims that 23,000 dolphins and porpoises killed each year in Japan. Migrating dolphins are driven into the hidden cove where he scored and killed by bayonets and knives on the side of small fishing vessels.
In the March 7, 2010 The Cove was awarded the Oscar for Best Documentary at the Academy Awards 82nd.
