Gold medal Hockey 2010 : It’s US Hockey game time! In today’s Gold medal hockey 2010 Winter olympics final, the United States will be looking to capture the first place prize with another defeat of Team Canada. This is a rematch from earlier in the Winter games, when Team USA achieved an impressive upset win against Team Canada, 5-3. They’re hoping for more of the same today, when the game goes live around 3:15 PM EST on NBC.
The last game a week ago today, saw the Americans win impressively in Canada. The game was considered one of the US’ biggest upsets since 1980’s Miracle on Ice when they defeated the Soviet Union team in Lake Placid, New York. Team USA’s goalie Ryan Miller was one key to the US win a week ago, and could be key again today if he’s able to stop enough shuts to help the US stay in control. One possible problem for the United States could be one of the NHL’s top players, Sidney Crosby. He’s a former MVP in the pro hockey league several years ago and one of the league’s top scorers overall. Crosby has been relatively quiet during the Olympics, and could see a breakout performance when it counts most.
Win or lose today, the Americans will leave with one of the top 2 medals, and will have displayed an impressive amount of resolve, determination and teamwork. They were not expected to make it this far, but have proved the doubters wrong, and now look for thegold medal to show off as their prize. So get ready for US Hockey game time. Today’s Gold medal hockey 2010 Olympics battle will be one to witness and Team USA could be talked about for some time to come!
