Pittsburgh gunman George Sodini seemed like a 'nice guy,' neighbor says .
He was quiet and tidy, and just two days before his cold-blooded killing spree, took time to check how a fellow Orchard Spring Road resident was feeling after a recent major operation.
Wednesday, that same neighbor said he was shocked to know Sodini was capable of such evil.
"He wanted to know how I was doing," said Robert Fox , 45.
"It was always 'Hi, George, how you doing?' I just can't believe he did this."
"He took care of his yard; I just assumed he was a nice guy."
Instead, Sodini was a recluse who planned his fitness center attack for months.
He wrote about it in a blog where he also fantasized about a college girl he spotted leaving Fox's home - the 22-year-old daughter of his neighbor's girlfriend.
"I never looked at him as a ticking time bomb," Fox said.
"It makes me sick."
