Michael Blosil , 18-year-old son of the artist Marie Osmond, has died, authorities confirmed Saturday.
Blosil died Friday night, and his death was under investigation by Los Angeles in the Office of the investigating judge, said the forensic doctor, “said Lt. Brian Elias.
Officials could not comment on the report, published on ETOnline.com sayinghad jumped from the apartment in downtown Los Angeles at 9 pm Friday and left a suicide note.
“I and my family and the destruction and the deep shock of the tragic loss of our dear Michael, and we ask everyone to respect our privacy during this difficult period,” and Osmond, 50, said in a statement.
Tammy Nguyen, a student at the Institute of Fashion Design and Commerce in downtown Los Angeles, said Blosil attended the same school, majoring in the garment industry.
Nguyen said it had gathered with other students in the lobby of Meteorology, an apartment building at Ninth and Flower streets Friday night, she felt Blosil bodies covered with a white blanket on the sidewalk.
“Everyone was in shock,” said Nguyen. Blosil lives on the eighth floor.
Osmond is famous variety show ABC’s “Donny and Marie” in the late 1970s, which she starred with her brother. Both she and her brother was performed on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars”, and now we have a variety show at the Flamingo Showroom in Las Vegas.
Saturday night’s show has been canceled.
